| Try to bring out your personality in what you wear, but also step across boundaries that you wouldn't normally to make yourself feel glamourous. For example, try to copy some of the catwalk ideas or wear a different neckline or colour than you do usually. This will also help you to stand out at the party, and make the occasion really special and memorable. I also think it is really important when going to a party that you have with you some kind of shrug or cardigan to pop over your shoulders as this can dress down the whole look if you need it to. Don't forget that the best hairdo is the simplest and easiest. Try a bed head style with loose waves. This can be achieved by either using tongs or straighteners, or braiding your hair before sleeping/drying. Using a fine hairspray will help to keep your looks looking fresh. Or why not try a braid that goes to the side of your head. This is a classic look and will make you look chic without looking like you've tried too hard. Firstly, scrape your hair back into your hands as you would for a side ponytail. Then plait like you would normally, making sure that the braid falls to the side of your face. Tie it with a pretty tie and spray a light hairspray on top. When you do your make-up keep again to the classic look. Start with an all over foundation or tinted moisturiser. Follow with concealer and then blusher on the apples of your cheeks sweeping up. Put some mascara on your lashes, then eyeliner. Follow this with a eye shadow colour that accents the colour of your dress, a darker colour is usually better. Pop on some lip gloss/stick and you will be ready to go.
