Here are a few recipes of orange coloured cocktails:
Lust - Pour 2 parts vodka into a pint glass filled with ice, then add 2 parts peach schnapps and
2 parts orange juice and 2 parts lemonade. Enjoy!
Irish Orange Margarita - Put 2 parts Poteen, 1/2 part Cointreau®, 1/2 part Grand Marnier and 1 part
orange juice. Serve in a chilled cocktail glass, top up with Champagne, sugar rim and orange twist.
Monsoon Magic - In a collins glass, first pour 1 part Absolut vodka, followed by 1 part mango liqueur
and finally top with 2 parts chilled mango juice. Stir, serve garnished with a slice of mango.
Peach Sangaree - Add 2 parts peach brandy, 1 1/2 parts water, 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/4 glass shaved ice. Add dash of
Port on top. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
Orange Velvet - Shake 2 cl. cream, 2 cl. pineapple juice and 5 cl. orange juice with some ice. Strain into a large cocktail
glass.
Orange cocktail dresses will look good most people with the exception of blondes with light skin and brunettes with light skin. For dark hair and dark skin, choose more bright oranges. And for those with red tints in their hair, choose subtler colours like peach and ochre.
The best colours to accessorize your orange cocktail dresses with are gold, red and brown. Try to stick to colours that are earthy and don't detract from the colour of the dress. For those that pick a light orange colour, accessorize with darker shades of orange.
Match your orange cocktail dress with a great clutch bag and sazzy heels. Try various shades of a similar colour for your accessories, and always match the same colour of bag with the shoes as this will look absolutely stunning. When picking jewellery definitely choose gold over silver as this will offset the dress perfectly.
Orange is a very exotic colour, so why not pick this colour for a summer cocktail evening, or a Hawaiian style party. Orange without sunlight is very draining, so even if it is winter choose make-up that brings out the sunshine in your skin. Pick a bronzer for your cheeks, and some gold and brown colours for eyeshadow. Why not try some clear lip gloss rather than a heavy matte, as this will look more natural.
